About the author
When Lucy R.T. Velandia was in kindergarten she said that she wanted to be a librarian that “wrote and illustrated the books in her library”.
Nikola The Hamster is Lucy’s debut book. She hopes to write and illustrate many more books in her future. Lucy lives in upstate New York with her family and her mini-bernedoodle pup.
When Lucy isn’t writing or drawing, (or painting or sewing or collaging), some of her favorite things to do in her spare time are reading, dancing, and game nights with her three closest friends.
